Complete Fire Door Compliance Services
The Regulatory Reform order places a strict legal duty on the 'Responsible Person' (building owners, landlords, or facility managers) to ensure all fire safety equipment, including fire doors, is fit for purpose and properly maintained.
Failure to comply can lead to
- Serious Legal Penalties: Significant fines or even prison sentences.
- Voided Certifications: Poorly maintained or installed doors can void your building's fire safety certifications.
- Risk to Life and Property: Compliant fire doors are critical for compartmentalising fire, allowing occupants time to escape and the fire service time to tackle the blaze.

Industry-Leading Fire Door Inspections
Our friendly, professional, and expert teams provide detailed fire door surveys nationwide, ensuring you adhere to all current fire door regulations.
What Makes Our Inspections Different?
- Certified Competence: Our inspectors are fully qualified by UK Fire Door Training, ensuring expert knowledge of British Standards (like BS 9999 and BS 8214) and the Fire Safety Order.
- Detailed, Actionable Reports: Our industry-leading reports clearly break down all identified issues, allowing the Responsible Person to make informed and timely fire safety decisions.
- Installation Sign-Off: We also sign off on new fire door installations to verify compliance from day one.
Recommended Inspection Frequency
The legal responsibility is to regularly inspect your fire doors.
To meet this obligation, and in line with BS 9999: Code of practice for fire safety in the design, management and use of building, AJM Fire Safety strongly recommends inspections every six months as an absolute minimum.
High traffic environments (Hospitals, Schools, Residential Blocks) may require more frequent assessment.
